Practice deep breathing on a daily
basis for five minutes while on the Original Chi Machine.
- Lie with your ankles on the Original Chi Machine with your
spine straight, close your eyes, focus on your breathing.
- Inhale through your nose quietly to the count of 4.
- Hold your breath to the count of 7.
- Exhale audibly through your mouth to the count of 8.
- Repeat the process (beginning with inhaling) three more
times, for a total of 4 cycles.
The key is keeping the 4-7-8
ratio, ensuring that your exhalation is twice as long as your inhalation.
Practice this exercise at
least twice a day, preferably when you first wake up (and get on the
Original Chi Machine) and before you go to sleep (and get on the Original
Chi Machine). After a month of
practice, you can increase the number of breath cycles to eight.
